As a Trustee for RSPCA Shropshire, you will join a dedicated team responsible for guiding and managing the branch’s activities to enhance animal welfare throughout the Shropshire area.
Our vision is a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. Our volunteers are the heart of this mission, supporting our vital work every day to protect and care for animals in need.
RSPCA branches, including ours, are independently registered charities operated by committed volunteers who drive our animal welfare efforts at the local level. Joining as a trustee is an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our mission of promoting kindness and preventing cruelty to animals.
Locally, our branch raises funds to support a range of services, including advice, microchipping, neutering, subsidized animal treatments, and the rehabilitation and rehoming of animals. Our facilities include clinics, boarding, and foster care, all designed to support animals in need.
Do you have professional skills and a passion for animal welfare? We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable individuals to serve as trustees, helping to ensure effective governance and management of the branch, with animal welfare as our top priority. Trustees are essential to the branch's mission, overseeing operations and ensuring we meet our goals.
Requirements to Become a Trustee:
Must be 18 or older
Not disqualified as a company director or convicted of dishonesty, deception, or animal cruelty/neglect
Must join as a member of the National RSPCA
Commitment to the RSPCA’s objectives: “To promote kindness and prevent or suppress cruelty to animals, and to undertake any related actions in support of these goals”
